POSCA paint markers are the gold-standard multi-surface, creative paint pen. The pens are non-toxic and water-based so they are great for kids activities. • Terracotta – bake at 220°C for 45 minutes, then spray with clear varnish

Rock Painting

Start with a smoother rock with a flatter edge as it's easier to draw on and keeps the POSCA Pen tips in good shape. Porous rocks absorbs more paint and dries quicker so you may need to apply multiple layers, you can always paint the background with a craft paint such as Jo Sonjas. Add POSCA on a plain old mobile phone case. POSCA paint adheres perfectly to it, enabling you to create stunning designs with ease.  Just remove any dust or grease from the surface if necessary. The smoother the surface of the plastic, the less porous it is, and consequently the longer the drying time and the longer you will have to wait before handling your creation. Fix your designs with a water-based spray varnish.

Skateboard Deck

Wood is an ideal material for POSCA, simply prime the skateboard with a universal primer  before starting to work with POSCA. With recovered or recycled wood it’s a good idea to clean it first with water and a soft sponge. As wood is a porous natural material it will absorb a lot of paint. Depending on the effect you want, several coats may be necessary if you do not prime first.

Once your creation is finished and dry, apply two coats of  spray varnish.

Before you apply POSCA paint pens onto fabric, wash the textile to remove any coatings or dirt.
