FAQs

Are foam paint rollers better for painting?

It ultimately depends on what effect you’re trying to achieve and what your preferred art style is. But the benefit of foam paint rollers is that they offer a different method of applying the paint, and also a different type of coverage.

Should you wet a foam roller before painting?

It can help, but it depends on the viscosity of the paint.

What are foam brushes used for?

Because foam brushes leave minimal brush strokes, if any, they can be used to paint a background or large areas. They can also be used on furniture, cabinetry and most other surfaces.

Do foam brushes leave brush marks?

They can, but the brush marks are often quite minimal. However they do seem to leave marks when used for varnishing so we recommend a brush for that

Do you wet a foam brush?

This depends on the paint used. For example, using a damp (not soaking wet) foam brush can be an effective way to apply acrylic paint.
